Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic FAQs 2026/2027 | Admission, Courses, Cut-Off Mark & School Fees

Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic is a state-owned polytechnic that is located in Eruwa, Oyo State. The polytechnic was named after its major benefactor, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, who was the major financier of the institution when it started.

Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic started as a campus satellite of The Polytechnics Ibadan on January 19, 1982, under the then Governor of Oyo State, Chief Bola Ige. Operating as a satellite campus, the campus started with a student population not up to 100 in number.

Operating as a satellite campus of the Polytechnic Ibadan, the Polytechnic did not lag behind like many other satellite campuses. The Polytechnic was funded by Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, who advocated for the Polytechnic’s independence and autonomy, emphasizing that the Polytechnic is important for Eruwa’s economy and its environment.

Because of the immense contribution of Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, the polytechnic was named after the financier even when it was still operating as a satellite campus. A major shift happened to the polytechnic in 2014 when it was upgraded and granted the autonomy to operate as a polytechnic under the administration of the then Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

In 2024, the Polytechnic was named and named Eruwa, immortalizing the Polytechnic financier as its initial stage. The Polytechnic was ranked amongst the top five polytechnics in Nigeria in 2024 based on evaluation from the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).
