NOUN Postgraduate Admission Requirements
• Applicants for a master’s degree must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least a second class lower division from a university approved by the NOUN Senate.
• Applicants for a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of a lower credit or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• All applicants must have five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two settings.
• Applicants must apply for a program related to their previous field of study where required.
• Some programs may have additional departmental requirements.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Requirements
• Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of lower credit, or a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Qualification must be in a related or relevant discipline.
Master’s Degree Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class lower division from a university approved by the NOUN Senate.
• Alternatively, applicants with a PGD in a related field with a good credit pass classification may be considered.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Requirements
• Must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
• Must have a minimum average score of 60% or a CGPA of 4.0 on a 5-point scale (or equivalent) in the Master’s program.
How to Apply for Noun Postgraduate Admission
• Visit the NOUN Admission Registration portal at https://www.nouonline.nou.edu.ng/
• Click View Requirements to confirm that you meet the admission requirements for your chosen program.
• Complete the pre-payment application form by providing your personal details and academic qualifications.
• Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) after submitting the pre-payment application.
• Pay the application fee either online using a debit/credit card via Remita or at any commercial bank in Nigeria using the generated RRR.
• After payment, return to the admission portal to complete the online application form. Applicants who paid at a bank should enter their unique ID and RRR to continue.
• Upload all required documents and submit the completed application online.
• Once your application is successfully submitted, print your admission letter and application form.
• Take the printed admission letter and other required documents to your chosen NOUN study center for verification and clearance.
